February 3 \ Time: 5:00 p.m.
Present: Mel Reichwald, Darrel Ruege, Pastor Chris Byars, Dawn Byars

Mel opened the meeting with a Prayer for the Church.

First order of business was to read and review the minutes from the last meeting.

We then discussed ideas for the All Team Meeting taking place on February 18, 2025.

  • It was suggested that our team bring up the idea of moving future All Team Gatherings to Sunday mornings (still quarterly) after church to include a pot luck meal. The idea being that we were already gathered for church. We would make sure to coordinate with the CYF Team to make sure this did not interfere with Youth Group and also work to coordinate with the Packer’s schedule for the fall meeting to avoid any noon game days.
  • We talked about reinstating the 4th Sunday Fellowship times by presenting a schedule at the All Team meeting to pre-plan what teams would be in charge each month. It was also brought up by Mel that we needed to make sure and provide a non-coffee option for those that don’t drink coffee.
  • It was also brought up that the All Team meeting would be a good opportunity to ask if anyone had suggestions for a person or people that might be interested in filling the vacant spot on the team.

After this, we spent some time brainstorming ideas on how to best approach Stewardship and Evangelism in our church in the upcoming year. Ideas to further explore and consider:

  • An Ice Cream Social that could serve as both a Fundraiser and a possible kick-off for VBS. We were thinking of selling sundaes and as the VBS this year is train themed, perhaps seeing if we could utilize Alex Wocking and his barrel train.
  • We are looking to partner with the Gillett Area Chamber of Commerce with their Random Act of Kindness campaign to run during RAK Week (02.14-02.21). We will be announcing the campaign during service and offering Random Act cards for our parishioners to take with them and complete. We are looking into ways that we can potentially mark the cards (to be left with the recipient) with our church logo.
  • It was then discussed that this could potentially be the start of our own Kindness Campaign to be done during Lent. 40 Days of Kindness – will be discussing further at the next meeting.

Meeting adjourned with the Lord’s Prayer.

Next Meeting Date: March 3 at 5:00p.m.
