2025 May NL: Council Minutes

April 27 at 10:30 a.m.

1) Meeting was called to order at 10:45am.
2) Devotions: Betty Jane
3) Motion to approve agenda with the following additions by Betty Jane, Bill, MSC
  a. add 10b: Rachel vacation
  b. add 10c: Cross (Genke request)
  c. add 10d: Quarterly Financial Report
  d. add 10f: Phillipi request
4) Communications from attendees and correspondence
  a. Jerry Luther gave clarification on WDOT revenue from construction and easement:
      $7,500 is for land and easement, $5,700 for parking lot.
5) Secretary’s Report
  a. Correct minutes to reflect 4a. $7,500 and $5,700 WDOT revenue
6) Motion to approve Treasurer’s Report by Vern, Bill, MSC
7) Pastor’s Report
  a. Pastor Vacation – June 12 – 16, July 5 -10
  b. Cantata offering plate discussion
  c. Discussion on church “awareness” and attendees with special needs/attention
8) Team/Organization Items for Council Action: none
9) Old Business
  a. Fence Update: we will fix it ourselves, not the fence company
  b. Hwy 22 Update: agreement is in the safe, we have no start date yet
10) New Business
  a. Gillett Civic Club 4th of July celebration donation request: We request LACE to review
request at their next meeting.
  b. Motion to approve Rachel’s vacation request on 4/29 & 4/30 by Bill, Betty Jane, MSC.
  c. Motion to repurpose Genke cross to the side yard and ask to involve Property & Cemetery
Team by Bill, Vern, MSC.
  d. Quarterly Financial Report discussion. Miles provided a statement for the next newsletter
and will be recurring quarterly.
  e. Motion for Council to accept Delzer donation for Carillon by Betty Jane, Bill,
MSC. Thank you, Donna and family!
  f. Motion to approve Phillipi Fund request by Vern, Bill, MSC.
