2025 June NL: Stewardship & Evangelism Team Minutes

May 5 at 5:00 p.m.
Members Present: Mel Reichwald, Darrel Ruege, Pastor Chris Byars, Dawn Byars

Mel Reichwald opened the meeting with a prayer.

Old Business Addressed:
Ice Cream Social Talk: Robert Davis Ice Cream – he doesn’t charge. We would like to do some sort of reimbursement – we’re going to offer to buy the supplies. Mel is checking into that.
Alex Wocking will be doing Barrel Train Rides. Chris confirming that Alex is transporting them here.
For Advertising: Dawn will create a poster, leaflets for the bags at Pat’s, and will create an event for Facebook. We will look to see if there is a cost to advertise it in the Marketplace Messenger, and perhaps a plug on WRVM.
Supplies: Darrell is picking up bowls and spoons and is looking into Maple Syrup.

Discussion on cross from Don and Ramona Genke. We talked about different ways to establish the space. Possible opportunity to work with the Worship Team to establish a permanent outdoor worship space.

4th of July Float with CYF. Rachel has asked for a banner to be made that can be a permanent reusable sign year after year. We’d plan to have general VBS and CYF info on it with space to adhere the date with Velcro. Dawn or Mel offered a Thrivent Card to cover expenses – Mel was looking at getting one for Ice Cream Social supplies, so that may cover it. Mel has offered to store the float if needed and Darrell has offered to pull it if no one else is available.
