Mel opened the meeting with a prayer.
Dawn read the minutes from the last meeting.
OLD BUSINESS
- Fair Booth Recap: we had a lot of traffic. We passed out all the children’s Bibles, several of the Life Books, and about 16 boxes of Thrivent shirts. We had around 200 entries for the cross, 80 with complete addresses
- The plan is to use the addresses for a “December at the Clock Church” mailing to advertise Christmas in the Park, the Cantata, and all of our various services. We’ll also include a QR code for the Bible in a Year reading plan and an invitation to join us as we begin that in January
- We’ll plan to send the mailing to our “inactive member” list as well.

- 4th Sunday Fellowship: All slots are filled going forward minus May. Chris will ask council if they would take that one – then the calendar is complete! We’ll send a reminder at the start of each month to the team that is on.
NEW BUSINESS
- Ideas for next year’s Fair Booth
- To try and fill the shifts easier, we are going to ask both CYF and Missions if they would partner with us going forward. We would still take ownership of set-up and tear-down, but would ask that each of those teams fill a couple of the slots.
- To help encourage more Youth involvement, we thought it would be a good idea to bring Plinko AND have a youth specific giveaway in addition to the Cross. Chris suggested an Action Bible. This would give us an opportunity to be more specific in getting the word out on our Children’s and Youth events.
- Veteran’s Day 2026
- We will be recognizing the Veterans on Sunday, November 8th. Mel will again ask OJ’s for gift cards and Dawn will make a Veteran’s Day card on Canva.
- We passed out 22 last year, so we’ll plan for 24 this year.
- We will stuff and address the cards during the October 12th meeting
