CYF Team Minutes: May 8, 2024

Present: Chris & Dawn Byars, Sydnie Patzer, Erik & Rachel Knueppel

OLD BUSINESS

• Camp Luther: need to email them to let them know which dates we want for Winter Retreat

• Coffee fundraiser: went well, but next year, we should make more of an effort to sell at the cantata performances. After-church coffee sales went well, we even had some people take a sheet home and turn it in with just their order. That works too!

NEW BUSINESS

• Muffins for Mother’s Day (Sydnie will coordinate), ask kids to leave during the sending hymn to get downstairs and help pass out muffins

• Stepping Stones: Rachel would like help to make sure everything is in order and set out as she will be gone that Sunday. We need to get the chalices!

• Sunday School End-of-year party: cake has been ordered and Carl will pick it up for us!

• June: plan as little as possible, need to take a moment to relax before VBS descends upon us! VBS craft nights are scheduled for every Thursday until VBS. There is a 5th Sunday that will be Youth-Led.

• July: we need to find someone to pull the float, Sydnie will ask to use the wagon

• Vendor Registration for Harvest Days: we filled out the registration and gave cash to Chris to bring to the next Gillett Area Chamber of Commerce meeting.

MISCELLANEOUS

• Sheri Wenzel suggested a local “missions trip” in providing a meal at Sam25. Both adults and kids could help and would provide intergenerational connections.
